We had a special guest from London (UK) visit China Express last week --- Nick!!! Not only is he charming and handsome, but he's also quite talented in the kitchen as well.

Nick is no stranger to the kitchen! His specialty includes sausages and mash, a popular dish among the English. So of course Walter and Carol wanted to test his skills with Chinese food and tasked him with cooking orange chicken, our most favorite dish selected by our customers - also known as "pollo de naranja".

Voila!!! Nick successfully cooked a delicious platter of orange chicken on his first try.

Walter surprised Nick with a specialty donut in his honor for all his help.

We had to say goodbye to Nick last Sunday as he returned to London. Thanks for lending us a hand at the restaurant --- definitely 'Employee of the Month' quality --- hands down! Next time, we'll teach you how to make teriyaki chicken from scratch!

Last weekend, China Express was privileged to have a special guest visit all the way from San Diego --- Juanito! We wanted to do something special for his arrival, so Walter decided to prepare some specialty donuts just for Juan. --- See photos below ---

Juan's favorite donut is the sugar twist - this is probably the biggest sugar twist in the world (or maybe just in El Centro).

As many Chinese families prepare to greet the Year of the Ox today, China Express is happy to celebrate this special holiday with new friends (neighbors in El Centro) and new family members (Nick and Rosario).

"He tenido el placer de conocer a Kim y ha su familia por varios años y siempre habia disfrutado de la comida China que cocinan sus papás. Cuando Kim me informó que ellos habian abierto un restaurante de comida China en El Centro, fui a visitarlos. Dejenme decirles que el viaje desde San Diego valio la pena!! Me dieron a probar de cada un de los platillos, que orgullosamente prepara su papá usando resetas autenticamente Chinas, y les tengo que decir que reto ha cualquiera ha encontrar comida China mas rica! Aunque termine mas que satisfecho, no me fui hasta que probe las donas, que preparan ahi mismo todos los dias, recien salidas del horno. Les recomiendo a todos que se den la vuelta y visiten el restaurante de comida China "China Express" en El Centro. Les aseguro que descubre su nuevo restauarente de comida China favorito."
